Calculator guide

Stripe fee calculation guide

Use the Stripe calculator to estimate card-processing costs for a Netherlands business and to compare the result with PayPal on the same amount. Choose the card region that matches the payer and enable currency conversion only when Stripe must convert the payment.

Formula

The fee is calculated from the published percentage for the selected card region plus the fixed EUR amount. When currency conversion is selected, the additional conversion percentage is included. Reverse mode calculates the minimum gross charge needed to preserve your requested net amount after rounding.

Example

For a €1,000 standard EEA card payment under the current published assumptions, the estimated Stripe fee is €15.25 and the net amount is €984.75. The same screen compares that result with PayPal using its corresponding standard Netherlands assumptions.

Frequently asked questions

Does the comparison guarantee Stripe is cheaper?

No. Earnquo compares the published assumptions selected on the page. Different card types, custom pricing, conversion, payment methods or provider-specific terms can change which option costs less.

What does the reverse mode help with?

It is useful when your contract or quote specifies the amount you want to keep after processing costs. Enter the desired net amount and Earnquo calculates the minimum invoice or charge required under the selected fee assumptions.
